Neuroticism 101: Happy Ever After

“Happy ever after in the marketplace…”

My first thought while singing along with this gem of a song:

I want to be happy ever after in the marketplace… Fff*ck!

It’s all good. I mean, I’m not necessarily unhappy. I’m just stressed. Stress is normal. Stress is life. In order to be happy, we must endure stress. So this is my chosen stress, I suppose. Chosen, because I could take another path. Turn a different corner. Accept some other type of stress. At least this stress is on my own terms… somewhat.

If it were up to me, it’d all be so much easier than this, BUT as we know…

“Happy ever after..” does not equate to carefree. “Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face…” Molly had to be a tiny bit worried about this, if she didn’t already know he dressed in drag.
